UK NON-GEOGRAPHIC NUMBERING

09
Premium rate

A premium rate number for paid services: competitions, voting, chat and adult lines (098).

The first digits do not identify or locate the caller. Numbers may be used remotely, and caller ID may be spoofed.

What does calling cost?

Your provider’s access charge plus the advertised service charge. Check both before calling.

Check the full number.

Before returning a call

Check whether you expected the contact and whether the caller left a useful message. Verify unexpected claims through an independently trusted contact route. The number type alone does not establish who called.
